What We Provide
Croupiers and Dealers as On-Screen Talent
Our croupiers and dealers are the genuine article: trained, experienced, and used to running a table in front of a crowd. On a production they work as supporting artists, dealing the game accurately while your principal cast play their scene. Roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker, the procedure is correct because they do it for a living.
Background Players and Atmosphere
A convincing casino floor needs more than a table. We can provide experienced background players who know how to bet, react and handle chips naturally, so the wider shot holds up as well as the close-up. Brief them on the period or the tone you’re after and they’ll play to it.
Actor Coaching
Where your principal cast handle cards, chips or the wheel themselves, we coach them until it looks second nature. We cover dealing technique, card handling, chip management and the procedure of each game, calibrated to what the performance actually needs. A character who deals professionally needs different work from a character who is simply a guest at the table.
Coaching runs as a pre-shoot session wherever the schedule allows, which we’d always recommend, or on the day where it can’t. Either way, the aim is the same: a performance that survives the lens closing in.
On-Set Advising
If you want a second pair of eyes on the play itself, we advise on set. We make sure the game runs correctly for the shot, the bets make sense, the payouts are right, the etiquette matches the setting and the period, so nothing on screen pulls a knowledgeable viewer out of the scene.
Why It Reads on Camera
The difference between someone who knows a casino table and someone who doesn’t is small in a wide shot and glaring in a tight one. Chips stacked the wrong way, a riffle that fumbles, a croupier paying the wrong bet, these are the details that a casino-literate audience notices instantly, and the moment they notice, the scene stops being real to them.
Getting the people right is the cheapest insurance a production can buy against that. It costs far less than a reshoot, and it’s invisible when it works, which is exactly the point.
How We Work
We’re used to the way productions run. Tight schedules, early calls, overnight setups, last-minute changes to the call sheet, none of it is new to us. We’re comfortable working to a production’s confidentiality requirements and will sign an NDA where one is needed.
We’ve supplied people and equipment for productions including streaming and broadcast work, and we’d rather have the conversation about an unusual request than turn down a job we could have done. For shoots outside London, we work nationwide; talent and transport are quoted to the location and the schedule.
